With Preparation

A ceramic coating is only ever as good as the surface beneath it. Every vehicle starts with a full decontamination — a pH-neutral foam soak to lift grit before anything touches the paint, then iron fallout removal and a clay treatment.

Only once the paint is genuinely clean and defect-free does coating begin, indoors and under controlled lighting.

Paint correction

A Coating Locks In Whatever Is Underneath

Ceramic coating doesn't hide swirls, haze or scratches — it seals them in and makes them permanent for the life of the coating.

Most of what makes paint look tired isn't the colour — it's thousands of fine scratches from automatic car washes, dry wiping and the wrong wash technique. Under direct sun they show up as a haze or a spiderweb around the light.

Correction removes an extremely thin layer of clear coat to level those defects out, bringing the reflection back before anything is sealed on top. How much can be improved depends on the paint itself — its thickness, its hardness and how deep the defects run — so every vehicle is assessed and quoted individually rather than promised a result up front.

Interiors are cleaned first, properly, then treated with protection matched to each surface. Fabric and carpet get a treatment that helps liquids bead rather than soak straight in. Leather is cleaned and conditioned rather than simply wiped over. Plastics and trims are left with an even, factory-look finish rather than a greasy shine.

Wax On Wax Off is a workshop-based studio. Most vehicles are booked in and dropped off — but if getting the car to us is the problem, say so when you enquire.

Paint correction and ceramic coating are done here, indoors, under controlled lighting and conditions. Dust, wind, direct sun and temperature all change how a coating levels and cures, so this work is never done in a driveway.

Mobile — where it suits

When you can't get to us

Mobile service may be available for selected work when dropping the vehicle off isn't practical — subject to your location, safe access, and whether the job can be done properly on site. Ask when you enquire and you'll get a straight answer either way.

Correction and coating still need workshop conditions to be done to standard, so those stay in-house rather than being promised at your address.
